@Flashgear - help this dude out with the best Dell/Thinkpad in this price range.

As a rule of thumb Office PC's tend to require more CPU speed and RAM (especially RAM)

I would look for:
- Intel i5 or i7 (wouldn't recommend less than i5)
-Ram: 8GB - 16GB (the more the better, but wouldn't go less than 6GB if you can, 4GB is bare minimum)

Careful with places like Makro and Dion wired, they can be very expensive.

You don't need anything spectacular to run SAP, more ram, less CPU, definitely an SSD, difficult combination, but you can always buy SSD separately and put it in, so long as you get the correct one.

Thanks all for the input! You guys rock

Nice. When you finally get an SSD, get one (like a samsung) that has cloning software. Makes the transition a breeze.

Also get an external case.
- Pop ssd into external case.
- Clone Hdd onto ssd.
- Put ssd into laptop and boot without any issues.
- Put old hdd into external and format. You now also have an external harddrive.
