I'm not very clued up when it comes to laptops, in need of advice
My dad is looking for a Laptop not state of the art one, but one that will be able to run Autocad and application like it without problems.
Any recommendations will be much appreciated since I have no clue:confused:.

First we need to know your budget before recommending anything or I could recommend something worth 20k.

Start with the System requirements for the version he will be using.

Take note also of the additional requirements for large datasets, point clouds and 3d modelling if he will be using these types of features or something else intensive.

I would also take a look at secondhand machines - many of these are still under warranty. Take a look at these Bidorbuy sellers to see what is available. Check www.carbonite.co.za every day to see if there is anything of interest. If you find something that looks good you can always post here to get feedback before purchasing it.
