Laptop locking up when using E620 DataCard

Laptop lock-up with MTN E360 data card

FYI MTN_DATA_DUDE - our company purchased 5 x MTN E360 data cards and all is locking up on different laptops running XP SP2. But we're used to MTN not being able to help.....They couldn't get our company Blackberries going (connect to a BES server in the US) - we had to trouble-shoot until it worked....and now they won't have an answer on the locking up issue either.....

Sorry I only got back today, could you please let me know if you're still having a problem with the data cards, also please let me know if you managed to sort out your BES problem my father in law passed away Tuesday that just passed and only got back today so I'm very sorry about the delay in my reply

welcome to adsl C3PO.. you will find good assistance on adsl from both Vodacom and MTN, they have very good representatives here.

hi there

i had a problem yesterday with compatibilty of a program, downloaded windows application compatibilty toolkit version 4.1 off their website (there are later versions but this one worked fine), created a new database, listed the program name and manufacturer then browsed my computor for the exe file- i saved the database to my desktop and clicked install, fixed the problem- it wasnt the data card software though, so im just surmising on this one, just thought id throw this card into the hat though.:)

p.s. the file is 16.2mb, so make sure whether you wish to use that much data for a possible fix.

This looks like an ol thread, but I thought I would add that I am having the same issue. My Huawei e620 card either isn't recognized by windows (shows up as "PCI Card" in device manager) or hangs up my system. Any suggestions for fixes would be helpful. BTW> Did a re-install of windows help?

im having a problem i got a E620 data card and my laptor just freazes when i insert the card i dont know what to do i mean its a dell latitude D820 one of the latest del laptops and the card wont work is there anything that i could do?
