Seems like finding spare parts on laptops are not that easy.
Is there not a scrapyard for laptops? A company or a private individual you know about?
I am still urgently looking for a connector on a HP dv6103 hard drive.

This is what it looks like.

Any HP laptop in the DV6000 or DV9000 series will suffice as a supplier.

that looks just like a sata connector...

Try looking for replacement sata connectors... what is wrong with that caddy?

I am only looking for the connector. The caddy is still 100%.
I had the laptop in for repairs and they lost the connector. Now the shop closed down and there is no way of getting it back.

Any idea where I can find these SATA connectors? I have tried every computer place in and around Pretoria and also SPL in CT. They tell me it only comes with a new HP branded HDD. Which is 3 x more than my Seagate I bought.

If the link at ebay doesn't work search for Sata Connector.

Peder

Yeah it is crazy prices.

I tried scraptronics but they don't do spare parts and tell me they don't really do laptops anymore. I just said okay and bye.

I also found a few on E-bay but was really hoping to source one locally, but if it boils down to that I will have to get it from E-bay.

Thanks for your help thus far Peder.:)

pleasure. sorry these stupid small things are soo expensive...

In hindsight it is probably my own fault because I never checked the thing when I fetched it from the repair shop. I just accepted they would return it like they received it. Just shows you.

But it is so unnecessary.
