Hi.

Im looking to buy a laptop for laptopdirect.co.za (comx computers).

Has anyone ever has dealings with this company before?. Whats their service like?. Are they reputable etc.

Also is buying from an online reseller safe in general?. Ive never bought from an online reseller e so you can understand my skepticism.

If you are concerned about buying online then make sure you use a company that offers credit card payments or COD. With a credit card payment, the bank holds the funds until the item is shipped and manually cleared by the merchant - more importantly, the bank can reverse the payment if the item is not shipped.

I got an IBM laptop from them about 5 years ago. No problems back then.

Also bought a laptop from them about 2 years ago. No problems.

I haven't had to send back the laptop yet for repairs, so I don't know how that service is.

I've dealt with comx computer many times. They work side by side with STD bank. Coz each month i get these computer specials with my standard bank statements from comx computers in the same envelope. Never had a problem with them
