XSInet users has access to the Internet Solutions news server (news.is.co.za). There are however many other news services available on the Internet - some are free while others are available at a low monthly cost.

Doubt it. Try getting the news.is.co.za groups in outlook express. (just as a quick test) If you can get news groups, it will work, if you get error, you'll need a new isp![]()
But, does it come with the 'up to 30gb' that others have?XSINET is an IS account!!!
i dont have much experience with the news server but from what i can tell newsbin pro is much faster than grabit
I tried newsbin, but the darn thing could not re-asemble the stuff i downloaded. Switched to Grabit and all my downloads can be extracted.![]()
Please can you tell me something... Im using GrabIt, but when I try and search then it tells me I need to register for 6 cents a day or something like that... Im sure ppl are not registered??? HELP!?!?![]()

The NZB file is like a few KB only, think of it as sort of a map which tells the news server where to look for the actual download. Once you import the NZB file into your news reader's batch, that's when the actual downloading of your files begin from the local news server. Best thing to do is play around with it a bit.
Be sure to have WinRAR (or similar) to extract your files once the download has finished. Might also help to have a separate prepaid Webafrica account so that you can access the international nzb search engines once you reached your international cap on the IS account
