Large shark kills man in NZ

There is no use arguing with people who value any know life above a human's.

Swimming 200 meters off the coast of an island? Freaking nuts!!!

Not at all, just don't complain when one of us gets eaten while we kill 100 million of them.

Well, sharks may be the apex predator of the ocean but we're the apex predator of the planet. So yes, there will be complaints.

The Orca is the ocean's apex predator. They can and do attack, kill and eat Great Whites. And big ones at that.

And I can't see any valid reason for us to complain about shark attacks. If you want to go run around the KNP don't moan if a Lion tucks in for some lunch. If you look and behave like prey, well then sorry for you. I have swam in unprotected waters fully aware of the risks I am taking. Hell, I am aware of the risks when swimming in - supposedly - protected waters. Can't complain when you know what is out there.

This is not about making mistakes - it's about saving the life of a human being irrespective of circumstances.

I'm talking about folks complaining if someone goes into the water and gets attacked by a shark. It is unjustifiable. You know what is in the water so you can't complain if you fall foul of it.

Yes, but like I said, we have too much of an ego being the apex predator of the planet to be killed by a fish.

And nobody knew that a dolphin is the apex predator of the sea…

They even rape and gang rape the females and masturbate…

I have respect for the animal kingdom and their individual habitats, humans are the trespassers.

Not quite sure what you are getting at?

Swimming at top speed, the orca took the shark by surprise, ramming it hard on the flank. The massive impact stunned the shark, leaving it momentarily confused and vulnerable.

With the shark dazed, the orca grasped it behind the head and turned it upside- down. The shark panicked and its brain released calming serotonin that sent it into a trance. This made it far easier for the orca to drown its prey.

Soon the shark was dead and the orca could start tearing it apart.

"is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family"

http://scienceray.com/biology/marine-biology/not-so-cute-dolphin-gang-rape/

"Researchers have been studying the sexual behaviour of dolphins intensely for the last decade, after it was discovered they not only partake in homosexual activity, but also gang-rape and kidnap females who don’t reciprocate their sexual advances"

---

I have seen National Geographic videos where Orcas participate in kidnapping, raping and at times even kills the female after their actions.

All I’m trying to say is that this specie is developed intelligently and most definitely knows what it is doing, thereby it will easily adapt in various circumstances. This goes for nearly all Dolphin species.

Just a little story for you guys in relation to willies intelligence.
We haul our fishing gear which is a long string of 4mm monofilament line with other line hanging off of that with hooks on.This gear floats below the surface.

If willie finds our gear he swims along it & eats the fish off it,only leaving us with the heads.

If we haul too fast & try & out run him/tire him out - they send back one that will come & lay on the line so we can't haul & must stop.

If they nail us one day we can run 20 mile to get away from him & often that ain't far enough & he finds us again.

Big game of cat & mouse sometimes & i know we ain't the cat most times!

Thanks. Now I am quite sure what you are getting at.

I vaguely remember the mention of rapist dolphins.

I didn't dispute their intelligence though, merely stated their position as the ocean's top predator. As the song goes;

You may not share out intellect,
Which might explain your disrespect,
For all the natural wonders that grow around you,
So long, so long, and thanks for all the fish!

And where the masturbation part comes in is that only the most intelligent animals on earth have realised that they can play with themselves. True story.
