Largest torrent portals

Is Mininova still up there? I'm surprised coz they no longer host any illegal content...

As of November 26, 2009, Mininova announced that they could not find a foolproof filtering system against copyrighted content, and limited its platform to Content Distribution torrents only (thus becoming a minor torrent website), in compliance with the ruling of the Utrecht trial. All other torrents, copyrighted or not, i.e. more than 99.3% of the torrents, were removed. As a consequence, the website traffic dropped by 66% in a few days, and daily downloads fell down to 4%[12].

Me waits for the inevetable argument between the MAFIAA stooges and the file sharing advocates! :D

When I need to use torrents, the order on the list is about the same as my choice - except that EZTV is higher on mine!

For me, if it isn't on ThePirateBay, it isn't worth downloading!

You know what, news servers are awesome, but they just havn't got the awesome stuff that torrents have, I've found so meny interesting stuff on torrents

== Piracy 101 ? :whistle:

Why do people immediately associate torrents with piracy? There's a lot of legit stuff on the torrent sites..

The MPAA has brainwashed people into thinking that, as soon as they hear "torrent" , their brain goes "omf! omf! It's teh bad bad piratezor"

Kuga that is such a fail argument dude lol. I do not even think the pirates like myself believe that BS.

Anyways apart from the arguments that will ensue that torrents have about 0.01% legit stuff which means it is not a portal for piracy i cannot understand why people like torrents.

Torrents you need tons of seeds, sometimes they go at like 9k/s. News servers have got to be the best way to get anything in terms of piracy :D.

O yes kuga this is for you:

There's alot of legit stuff on the news servers :D just 99.99% of it is pirated goods but let's concentrate on the legit stuff and use this as a good argument :D.

Big up for to gary for introducing me to astraweb, saving 18 dollars a month :D.
