Beginning March 16, 2021, LastPass Free will include access on one device type of your choice. The first device you login with on or after March 16 will set your active device type.
-If you choose computer as your device type, LastPass Free will work on all your desktop and laptop computers.

- If you choose mobile as your device type, LastPass Free will work on all mobile devices (Android and iOS)

At this point in my life, I am not prepared to upgrade to their premium version. Question is: what is a good alternative to lastpass?

I use 5 password managers at this time.

1. Bitwarden (my main driver)
2. MYKI
3. SafeInCloud
4. Enpass
5. Lastpass

SafeInCloud is my main mobile driver.

Good info. Thanks. I need to do some research

Bitwarden is still the best option.

MYKI, SIC and Enpass are all mobile-orientated password managers. MYKI requires a mobile device. I started using SIC to replace my KeePass database and I liked it, instantly. Enpass is good, but it is premium priced. MYKI and SIC is more accordingly priced. I don't do monthly subs, LTDs only.

It is easy to import your databases, and to keep them up to date. 'Failovers' is more like it in my case. MYKI is device only (always link more than one device), but SIC and Enpass can be backup up to supported cloud storage locations.

Thanks again for your help. I'm busy reading up on Bitwarden at the moment.

I'm confused. To currently use it across your computers/phones you need a premium version anyway.

If you only use on computers then nothing changes.

Will continue to pay for last pass families as I have for the past 6-7 years. Happy to pay for a service that's useful to our families digital and physical lives

Also started paying monthly for Signal, daily maverick, guardian and Plex (lifetime sub) . Felt it was it time to stop being a complete free loader as I had for the last few years to predominantly to allow the services I use to continue to operate.

I would pay for Disney and Hulu if it was available easily in this country. So I still have a way to go

I've been using the free version for a number of years on my PC and my phone. The new rules stipulate either PC OR phone.

Been using 1Password for 4 years now...
Subscription actually went off the bank account today ... I am considering migrating to Bitwarden selfhosted

Enpass.io has a lifetime license for $91.99 and syncs with all the usual cloud providers
