Lastpass Free - big change

Thanks for the recommendations, have setup Bitwarden, looks great so far.
 
Possibly a silly question: Chance of continuing with LastPass on desktop and then access on phone through phone's browser but with browser's 'Desktop site' box checked? Less than optimal, but if one doesn't have $ to spend.... Thoughts? TIA

Agreed with backstreet boy. Bitwarden works just as well as lastpass, on the PC and on my phone. It was quick and easy to set up. The data in lastpass was easily transferred to Bitwarden. BitWarden's free version has very similar options to lastpass, but the pro features are about 75% cheaper than lastpass.

If you want 2fa, use Authy. It also works great and you can have an instance on both the PC and the phone at the same time.

Jip, but in Bitwarden there is then no autofill.
I had to open the CSV file and manually enter them through the Bitwarden PC app. Doing it like that did reduce the amount of passwords I had saved

I moved from Lastpass to Bitwarden just by importing the file and haven't had a single site not be auto filled?

The autofill only worked when I re-entered my passwords manually instead of importing the CSV file
 
I think others mentioned it already, but i have been using KeePass for years and it works great.
It can be stand alone and has many, many useful, (and many more useless), plugins.

As far as I am aware it is as secure as all the others, it is open source and it is free.
 
I just switched to Bitwarden last week after also using Lastpass Premium/Free for the last 3odd years.

Initially I wanted to just switch back to Lastpass Premium but their systems couldn't process my payment, though both their webpage and the Google Play Store.

I opened a support ticket with them, they took about 2 days to respond with some generic troubleshooting steps (including a personalised generated quote for my order), needless to say none of these steps worked.

I updated the ticket with the same and asked if there is anything else I could try.

Only took them a week to respond and so I've moved on to Bitwarden and upgraded to Premium to support the project.
 
Moved from Lastpass to 1Password quick and simple move I must say. I will try bitwarden next year as I just paid for 1Password. Another thing that forced my move away from Lastpass were the trackers that were found in the app. I cannot have my password manager sending out telemetry data.
 
I just tried to switch from 1Password to Bitwarden on my M1 Mac Mini and it doesn't seem to work very well. I'll stick with 1Password for now.
 
Fiddled and tried em all for a few years. Always always always come back to Keepass on PC and KeepassDX on Android

Seems we should move everything back to Open Source. I've been an huge fan and advocate of Open source back in the 90's and 00's, don't know where I started to stray. Think it's with the advent of smartphones and social media. Luckily not to a large extend.
With all Big corps changing T&C's for the worse, Whatsapp, social media, etc, it might be a good article as an over view of where the consumer stands.
 
I moved over to Bitwarden. The process was smooth with no issues so far.
 
Been trying to find a good all-round one any ideas?

-Looking for secure stuff on like 500+ accounts
-Needs Mobile Support (android)
-Cloud Backup (can manually do this I guess)
-Decent Auto-fill system

I am also on Bitwarden Premium, primarily so that I can also store documents with logins if need be.

Been eyeing bitwarden out for over a year (I procrastinate a lot). How well does it handle the mobile side of things when it comes to autofill?

Im thinking of just moving all my crap over to way more secure randomized passwords and letting bitwarden handle all the safe keeping.
