howzit everyone

have not heard any new news on toptv

those who have it.how is it going? are they improving?
are the programs getting better?
 
I am happy with the offerings, but it probably depends on what your needs are. There are no sport fanatics in my household so we don't miss that. The kiddies are happy with the kids stuff, I am happy with the discovery channels. Only the teens in the household are a bit dissapointed
 
How would people compare the movie channels in the R250 packages and below, with the DSTV options?

the main thing there are no transmissino and decoder issues? and picture quality is good?
how are the movie channels?
i know theres not much sport channels
 
I dig toptv, its well worth what I am paying for it.

Im kinda regretting getting the movies package though and will probably be dropping it. Im not sure I want to lose FX.... but the movies are pretty carp.

I find the history channel, science channel and other discovery channels to be better than what I watch on DSTV... but thats my thing. Until next month I am living on a farm, and have not had a single problem with broadcasting or loss of signal or anything like that.
 
movies a terrible ... def not worth taking that option right now .. hopefully that will change ....
kids love the kiddie channels ... if only there was more of it ... 3 channels just ain't enough :)
I like FX and fox seems good too .... although I do not like the history channel .... or their discovery .... I think dstv might be better there ...
but I don't watch too much of it ... so might be incorrect there!!
 
Fox is great, Discovery stuff is interesting, BET is cool and SABC2 has 7de Laan LOL. They can improve on the movies and hopefully get some sports rights in the near future, but I always find something to watch, so it's value for money. If all else fails, uncapped ADSL :-)
 
Movies suck but fox FX does not so we are keeping the full package.
 
I'm quite pleased with it overall.

We started with the R159 Variety + Discovery package. We added the movie channels last month, but we will be dropping those promptly at the end of the month. Movie channels are not worth it at the moment.
 
What's up with the movie channel? We are holding back on joining until we've heard more feedback.
 
Just lots of old movies and repeats.

In the time we have had TopTV I have watched 1 movie, My wife watched two (she loves chicago and Roxie hart, the black and white movie was on).
 
I have never watched a movie on toptv,but then again i never look to any tv offering for my movie dose.

Every now and then i catch an episode of Stargate on FX...I don't make time for tv,i watch what's on while browsing through channels.

Their doccie channels are way better than dstv imo.They can change the frikken ads on MSNBC,actually just leave the original ads.Look like the Telstar 12 feed,dammit.
 
Almost 2 months TopTV never worked, so cant comment.
Taking the f***ing thing back to Peps for a refund. There customer service is sh*t, always the same answers, no solutions.
They cant take 2 months to activate the damn thing. Oh & this toptv wizard is a dead loss as well!!!
 
Also thinking about cancelling TOPTV, as it is proving to be a waste of money. Especially since I have a 4mb line

LMAO, anyone who has a problem with TopTV u assume are affiliated with DSTV. Get a life dude.
There are people who have problems with them & just find there service totally unacceptable.
