LCD and Plasma Bargains and Discussions thread

See Samsung have announced that they are stopping plasma production in November?

I actually feel bad for you, PP :/

Sorry man

I bought a Samsung plasma on the advice of PP. I truly loved that TV. Amazing picture.
I then moved and had to buy a new TV. Got a Samsung LED...
Every day I watch something I miss my plasma. Every... freaking... day.

Edit: oh and in the 2 years I had it never got any burn in. Have to say I did the 70 hours burn in things with moving pictures I downloaded from somewhere.
If you get burn in its by your own making. Deal with it...

I also did, thanks to the people who posted it! I made a desk at the foot of my bed which now houses my PC, my 40" Hisense, my 22" Samsung and my speakers. I use the TV for playing PC games with an Xbox 360 controller, for XBMC and for DSTV. Extremely happy with it!

Guys, UA55H6400 55" LED 3D vs PA60H5000AK the plasma 60" 3D Full HD.
Which one is better for SD & HD, for sports, movies and gaming?

I bought a 48" UE48F5500 LED and it's definitely not as good for sport. I watch tons of SuperSport so I'm gonna look to sell it soon in favour of a plasma.

Does anyone else who owns an LED have this issue where the camera pans quickly from one side of the field to the other that you can see the judder/jerkiness? I downloaded the full match between Belgium and USA in 720p and when played from the USB it's smooth, no judder. So that leaves me to believe that something is up with the source i.e. DStv.

Anyone can comment?

If it has a sport mode then give that a try.
