43" plasma is about 1.1m wide. 40" LCD about 1m. You can check all the specs here:

I basically want something maybe not bigger than 43" and even that might be too big. I dont even know how I will mount it.
It is a small room. In my bedroom.

I think you are right or perhaps the 37"? So it looks like I am narrowing the options down, so it would be 32" or 37" LED/LCD and must have network port or is that a gimmick?

Does anybody mind uploading this to a local filesharing site please. For some reason I cannot download the file.

I'm interested in getting this PS51D550. I'm selling my (almost) 3 year old LG 42inch LCD to a friend of mine at the end of the month. Its crazy to think I paid R8 999 for it and now I have to sell it for R3 000 because if I charge any more he might as well go buy it from the shops

May as well go 43" then. Man that plasma will look good at night in bed. And you won't need to worry as much about viewing angles when mounting, as with LCD...

Sorry not sure, my LCD has a network port, never used it though. Think it's to do with DLNA and streaming? Roman can tackle that one.

Take FotoDiscountWorld's price of ±R8,900 to Game. They will beat the price by 10% of the difference between both shops' prices.

Perfect. Any TV that size and at that viewing distance does not need 1080p / Full HD. But don't count on the salesman at Game telling you this.

You'd have to be a bit closer to appreciate 1080p res, so not really worth going for a 1080p TV (plasma or LCD/LED).

In a mostly darkened bedroom, the 43" (PS43D450) plasma will probably do the best job, a 51" (PS51D450) would do even better, if you can fit/afford it?.

Will you be streaming your files from external LAN connected media server? If so the D450 plasmas don't include ethernet support. You'll need a HDMI/LAN media player, or look at the LA40D550 LCD rather.

Guys you all going to laugh at me, I spoke to one of the guys at the shop and looks like I am going for the
SAMSUNG LED 40" D5500.
