LCD Screens

wow - it boggles me how that auction has shot up to R6500 in one day, plenty 'no ratings' bidders tho, they could be scammers.. lucky for him if the sale goes thru.

Well we'll see tomoro wat happens im pretty sure some1's scamming or ppl dont know wat they bidding for... But 6 grand thats ridiculous.

anyone who pays 6k for that seriously is a real DUMB A$$! Come on, who spends 6K without doing some homework?

The bidders seem to think it's a full-HD TV - I think they read it wrongly as a 32" Full-HD - their loss to be honest... the price went up to about R9000 earlier...but he deleted some bids. :D

OMFW! This is just sad! Who the hell is gonna buy a 23" for R6000? Well, by the look of things, some "lucky" guy is going to be the proud owner of a R6000 2333SW.... Eish. Could almost buy 3 of those for that price!

Haha if you shop around you can buy 3 for 6000.

You will not regret it, requires some tweaking, but I've got my whites white and colours richer etc. Spend some time a/b/c'ing high and low brightness contrast, different modes etc.

Got mine yesterday. I'm not impressed with the base/stand design, since you are instructed to "use your weight" to force the monitor's base into the socket. It's not fun exerting that much pressure on a brand-new screen!

Also find the colour et al adjustments to be overwhelming. But nothing beats going from a 17" CRT to a 23" LCD!

:D

I just wiggled the base into the LCD, didn't do the whole exert your weight on it as per the instructions, that way I could see how far it was inserted and knew when to stop pushing.

Ye, the adjustments are quite overwhelming! But just go through them and see what has a noticible effect for YOUR eyes, I concentrate on true white presentation, and the contrast so can see most detail in pictures with fading and gradients. I also have brightness at about 35, since I find lcd's become washed out if it's too high and the minimal backlight bleed becomes 100% less noticible.
I also like black to be as black as possible..
