Hello need to know which tv is best and which is good for dstv and wii

First one is:
42" LCD Logik Full HD - R7999 (On Special)

Second one is:
46" LCD Sinotec HD - R12000

Personally I would go for the Sinotec. 47" vs 40" is significant... On the other hand quality of Sony is difficult to beat. There is also a 5 year warranty on the Sinotec which is fantastic piece of mind.

I guess it depends on what you using the screen for and how big the room is, how far away you sitting from the screen... There a lot of factors to consider.

really so whats LCD made for then :P

For you, obviously. ;)

Both DSTV and Wii are SD resolutions. Plasma typically performs better with SD. Go and have a look in the shops at the difference between a plasma and LCD playing DSTV.

I stand to be corrected.
Plasma tv's are best for fast moving objects, eg certain (but not all) games and sports
LCD's if less than 100Hz can be a tad slower giving you a flicker. what im trying to say is that: 50hz will be like scrolling internet page with a win mobile phone while 100Hz or more will be like doing the same with apple 3GS, thats more fluid-like.

but for most games, 50hz will do fine.
Cost is also big contributor in all these.
At a price of a high def (720p) plasm panel you can get a full HD plasma.
You really need to see both pannels next to each other to be able to appreciate the difference. but in most instances, the difference is niglegible

Not sure if it is true, but I have read/heard that the 37" panels aren't quite as good as the 40" panels... for that price, and if you are set on LCD, why not just go for a 40" Sony?

Neither, both will be crap for Standard Definition TV...

For SD TV, sport, and pretty much any HD (720p) content, this plasma will be best:

I bought the same model Plasma from Game about 7 months ago.It did cost more in those days however I have had no problems with the set.I only watch SD quality on the TV.
