My wife really didn't like the Dutch oven she got this morning![]()
Because there’s more than one kind of Dutch oven…Why though? Because it’s a cooking item or because she really doesn’t like the item itself?
Hmm ok, I got it in my cart.Yeah there’s a pretty solid price. By and large I don’t buy anything from them unless it’s at least 30% off and then usually with eBucks.
You are still never making your money back but if you enjoy baking your own bread and rolls and things it’s a solid vanity project.
What's the advantage of this over a large casserole for baking bread? It seems pretty specialised as compared to the versatility of a casserole.Hmm ok, I got it in my cart.
Any reason not to buy it?
I mainly just bake bread using a Kenwood Chef XL mixer and loaf tins. Maybe this will expand my bread-baking skills a bit ?

And whats the Kenwood Chef XL like? I'm in the market for a new mixer.

Granted I don't bake a lot of bread since lockdown ended, but I've always just lowered it into the dutch oven/casserole using parchment paper. Now you don’t need to do a dodgy drop into a deep casserole and hope for the best.
The Kenwood is sweet. I have no other reference. After my mother passed away, I took it and started using it.What's the advantage of this over a large casserole for baking bread? It seems pretty specialised as compared to the versatility of a casserole.
