LEaving for OZ

marine1, can you please give it a rest. We all know that you like to rant on about crime (it's your right to do so but sometimes I get the feeling that you do it just for the sake of doing it).

Am I alone here or does anyone else get the same feeling?

+1 (but he is not alone on here unfortunately)

Nice snap - I know my mother is complaining right now because she had to postpone her trip to Geneva tonight due to poor road conditions but the snow (skiing!!!) is one of the things I miss. :(

Hey don't get me wrong, give me some fresh powder and a snow board (**) and I will be all smiles but it does not look like picnic weather to me! ha ha

(** Still happier with 30 degree weather, a slight offshore breeze, a beach full of bikini clad babes, and some glassy 5 foot waves though! :) )

Well difficult to see with all the snow... but have to admit to not being too happy about walking around London barefoot as I do all the time here, and then we will also not even mention the black snot you blow from your nose at the end of a day in London.
Walking around barefoot all the time....um never mind :D

LOL, 10 inquiries a week? That is like just 520 inquiries a year. And those are just inquiries. How will that address the 800 000 white South Africans that have already left? :D

lol. Oh how I love this selective reading. You're comparing enquiries from just NZ to people who left SA for ALL the other countries? And what about the people who just left NZ for SA again without enquiring through the official channels?

Increased means more leaving :D 200 more means that is ALL of 2007 + 200 = TOTAL just for the British High Commission alone...Seems only you and you alone know how many that would translate to at an expo :D

You're quickly to remind us that those were just enquiries. But now suddenly the applications to leave SA are actually people leaving? lol

It's not just one week, they're using that as an example that more and more people are deciding to come back to SA.

What i dont get is why everyone is hammering on marine for wanting to leave, and doing so?

Its his choice and got f-all to do with any of us, if he feels he can find happiness anywhere else...good on him.

If you feel you are happy here good on you, know one is hammering you on your choice, so let the man be, it is his right.

He just reported what he saw this weekend, he did not make it up, nor is he benefitting from it except maybe a "told you so" snicker

Well he basically said, this is what I saw this weekend, and i am leaving. So, he is leaving, the sun will set tonight and if all goes well will rise again tomorrow, no biggy.

But just as you have a right to happiness, or attempted right at happiness, so does he and his kin. Rather say something like good on ya, keep well hope you succeed.

Hell I am staying, what can I say, I have a stuborn wife, and am pretty sure you are staying, so let the man go in peace, and wish him well, he is still a south african, we are like hungry dogs, easy to say everyone is so negative, but oh boy when we get the chance to rip into one of our own, boy we go for the gold

Actually I directed that at you, your defining moment ---> suicide in New Zealand is higher in the age group 5 to 10 years [or whatever] :(

What does the 2 have to do with each other? And it was in the age group 17 to 24 & 25 to 35 I think.
