LEaving for OZ

What i dont get is why everyone is hammering on marine for wanting to leave, and doing so?

Its his choice and got f-all to do with any of us, if he feels he can find happiness anywhere else...good on him.

If you feel you are happy here good on you, know one is hammering you on your choice, so let the man be, it is his right.

He just reported what he saw this weekend, he did not make it up, nor is he benefitting from it except maybe a "told you so" snicker

It's different when someone has been harping on about the same repetitive negative racist drivel for nearly two years, and causing quite a stir up while doing so.

As said, this is N&CA on a public forum, we don't all just agree in unison when someone shares a choice/belief/stance etc.

But again, he stated a fact:"Filled in the papers am leaving". He did not offer a debate or said something like "I am leaving you loosers!!!! No one is as right as I am woohoo!!!!"

Basically said, filled in the papers, was sad to see so many people all wanting to leave.

And being negative, I think we all are negative in some respect, some people just find it a bit more extreme and a bit closer to home, and that is a viewpoint, hell I am negative about lots of things (including this beer gut not wanting to dissapear, wife has some weird idea it has to do with drinking beer, might have to get professional help for her), but there are also a lot of positive things, well like the beer, aus beer tastes like recycled loo water, so marine you have my sympathy on that one bud.

If he did not want a debate he would not have posted anything. And if you read some of his other posts, this isn't the first time he mentioned it.

Well I think the only thing that is not lekker is that this thread does not belong in the N&CA section, and more in the off topic section

Agreed, but I think he knew that he would get more attention here than in the off topic section... ;)

I have big shoulders so I really don't care what people think of me or what negative immature name calling they throw my way. Point is that the people here that have to stay or cannot leave, need a reason to feel good. That's fine and I can understand that but reality is slightly different. This place is screwed at the moment. I don't care what some international investor says, I feel the pinch with everything going up including crime but at the same time gvt is doing less and less. Point is thousands are leaving as seen at all these seminars. Do you really think I will care what the likes of Pot and Fudzy etc will have to say about me when I am living in a first world country? ;)

Your reality seems to revolve around conspiracy theories. Please just don't become lion_fish_2 by continuing your negativity when you're happily in your first world country. ;)

We all know there are problems, everyone is affected by crime.

I dont "have to stay" or "cant leave". Compeltely here out of choice.. though I may be going to Sweden for a year or two soon (but outta choice for a new life experience) :)

Why do you think thats the case? Not everyone wants to leave. I have a British passport so I definitely don't fall in that category.

You mean thousands are interested in leaving? How many of those will actually really leave?

Although I still don't believe that "thousands of whites queuing to apply" story. ;)

Well there you go...yoiu have a backup plan.
And again do you think it matters to me if you believe it or not? I am posting what I saw. Doesnt really matter either way

Home is where the heart is.

I have been a victim of violent crime in South Africa (Hijacking). Not once, but twice was I hijacked. The first time was a week before matric finals (I was a correspondence student, so all my books were with me... and then stolen). I have friends and family who have been. I have lost a friend who was murdered and nearly lost one that was tortured.

The second time I was tied up and forced into the boot, also at gunpoint. Once again, phone, wallet license and other belongings taken from me.

I am fedup with the crime in our beautiful country. What gets to me most is the amount of violence and intimidation one experiences when you are a victim of crime. I guess if people weren't being murdered, raped and tortured we could all agree that it is tolerable. I can understand somebody pickpocketing because they are hungry (not that I condone it, I understand it).

At the end of the day, only you can decide if the greener grass on the other side is what you want. They have problems of their own, but what we are used to is most likely much much worse than what they worry about.

I wish we could experience hijcakings like the one in Leon Schuster's movie... "Hijack... Hi Jack" and the b**tard shoots his own foot off...

Enjoy the Great Barrier Reef, send us photos of the Outback, Hold a baby Kangaroo and you MUST attend one of the show stopping lightshows at the Sydney harbour!

Oz has much to offer, embrace it and good luck!

Right, so the three people who all thought it was amusing must have small minds.

Now now people... play nicely..

Those who want to go down under for a better life... enough talk already... get on with with... MOVE!!!! .

Bon voyage!

Good luck to you. Remember there are many leaving
their home for a better future. Hope if you arrive we'll
hear from you. I liked all your comments on the forum.
I only have permanent residence here. But I'll stay.
Nobody can change the climate or the beautifull country.
I also don't need a job anymore. So the Sun can't be controlled by Guavamint or anybody.
