LED Lights: Yes or No?

For one those are generally illegal for being fitted into normal halogen projector housings, and therefore blinding other drivers.

Legit LED full units don’t use the same projector and don’t bling others while offering better light for the driver.

+1

Wish cops were going more often after these guys with aftermarket LEDs or these bakkies with LED bars.

I haven't driven a car with full LEDs yet, but do have LED DRL + xenon lights and would definitely never go back to halogen.

Even if 10k seems steep, it's probably the first option I'd consider on a car even before climate control or leather seats.

:wtf:

Do you honestly think an LED torch is comparable to an LED headlight fixture in terms of power output, matrix complexity, lens design, quality of light, electronics and lifetime of output?

I suggest you go educate yourself;

From the link, it seems to actually be very expensive to fit.

Due to their high cost, they rarely find themselves equipped to anything other than brands at the premium end of the scale – the likes of Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Land Rover, Lexus and Mercedes all make used of them.

The other day I saw one with a white LED strip on the BACK of the car.

So bright you couldn’t see the brake lights go on.

WTF.

Seem to remember Opel charges 22k for the lights kit on the Mokka X but it maybe have included other stuff as a package.

See more and more of these, and it's bloody blinding.

Im going to get the LED lights. Personally I think the car looks a bit better with LED lights and its not a short term purchase. Thanks for all the input!

If this is the only reason for choosing this option, then it's a waste of money. However, you'll see other benefits when you start driving at night.

All the best with your purchase.
