UPDATE: I have UT99 server running, currently set to Domination mode. It shows in the server browser "StoneCold's Mybroadband.co.za Server" :D

I updated my GOTY edition to v451b: http://www.oldunreal.com/patch/official/UTPGPatch451b.exe

Patch is really small, managed to join my own server after forwarding the relevant ports. Let me know what game mode you guys want to play.

Sweet link me the server files so I can also play around with it. We set to game tonight from 6pm ? or rather set time like 6/7/8 ?
 
I just need to make sure UT classic works properly with Windows 7. Last time I tried it was useless on D3D but better with OpenGL. Those times are fine for me. Thanks.

Although, it's not necessary because you can start a dedicated server via the game itself, however using the dedicated server files one could probably customize the server better with different game modes etc, because in the game itself you can only set the server up for one game type. I had my server running yesterday and set it so that bots auto join if you're the only player on the server. As human players join, the bots are removed again, which is pretty sweet :)

You need to forward ports 7777 (TCP & UDP - if you are hosting the server on the same pc you're playing on), 7778 (UDP), 7779(UDP) and 7780 (UDP). UT2K4 uses the same ports, so if you forward them once, then you can use them for both games. I didn't find an option to include bots on the server with UT2K4, but it should be there, I just didn't have enough time to look it up.

I'd rather prefer 9pm, anything from 6pm-9pm is a little bit too early for me, however, I can setup a UT99 server (with bots) when I get home at round about 1pm and then you can play on it from 6pm till I can login as well. Just let me know what type of server you want for example, deathmatch, domination, CTF etc

Kewl beans. I am only interested in UT99 anyway. I lost interest a bit with 2K3 and 2K4 I was over UT.
UT99 I was a complete addict :)

I had my house ripped off while online playing. I was so deep into my game I did not hear or notice a thing. Came out my game room to find most of my stuff gone. Addication was seriously baaaaaad.

Do you have the map voting add-on (ProVote)? My old man wrote it and we had it included on all the MWeb servers back then. Made it awesome being able to vote for maps between games. I am gonna foward this thread to him to see if he wants to come online too.

Although gameplay was way better before that , I cant go back to blocks , N Im not getting 99 or UT2

Ok I got ProVoteV3 working when I start a Dedicated UT99 server. I added it as a mutator so it shows up at the end of map and allows you to vote. Hope it will work well for you guys. :D

So just to confirm:
- 20:00 - UT3
- 21:00 - UT99

I can go until the next morning or until I keep my eyes open further. Will just set myself up with a pizza before hand. Saturday evening I'm probably going out though.

Thats how I have it. We'd just workout who will be hosting UT3. I'm rusted so don't lol too much at me :D

Games should be standard, but updated. We can do mods next time :)
 
I also have UT3, just need to install it, will see if I can track down my copy within the next hour and what can be done with hosting a server, but I'll keep you guys posted here in the thread. :)

EDIT: Found my copy, busy installing, will update with Patch 2.1, as far as I know that is the latest version ?

I will even Jam a couple games too! I prefer UT3 to UT2k4 tho...although both are good.

Believe it or not but there's a UT99 server avaible, just check ur server browser and join MWEB GAMEZONE CPT server.

Ok, so then I don't have to host a UT99 server anymore ? Weird that I didn't notice it earlier, but alas, will look for it in the browser quickly.
 
Struggled for the past hour to get a server going for UT3, but doesn't want to budge. UT99 and UT2K4, no problem, but I've forwarded 14 ports and it doesn't want to show my server. I'll download the dedicated server files tomorrow at some point and try again. In the mean time, my UT99 server is running, called "StoneCold's Mybroadband.co.za Server" :D

Hopefully it doesn't lag too much, I didn't tweak any network client rate settings so we can look into that if lag becomes a problem.
 
I can't see your server. What am I doing wrong? I see a truckload of other servers...
