Lets talk Chassis!

Keeper just a check, you want to do purely air cooled right? Then noise does come with the territory, but some cases will handle it better than others. The 1200 has lots of 'small' fans (IIRC) so thats why it makes so much noise.

air cooled for now, yes.

yes thats what i like about the HAFX, seems like it has superior cooling and the scale of it is just insane! if the antec has "lots of 'small' fans" then no i don't want it at all. looks very nice actually but the HAF is just a flippen TANK

how long am I going to have to wait archer, weeks? months? if it's months then I think i'll have to get something else.....

Go here :D
Seems like 25th May is the release date, and I dont know how long after that it will take to get to our beloved shores

is there anything bigger than the HAF-X though?

it looks so big on that one video but when i check with a ruler against my stupid "Work pc chassis" it's not really that much bigger?

Corsair 700/800D would probably be bigger (with worse airflow I'd say), and several Lian Li cases as well. But good luck fitting the larger Lian Li cases into your budget. The Cosmos may be slightly bigger as well. And the CM 'prototype' will definately be bigger. Also remember, the HAF-X is probably much wider than your work chassis. So even though its the same height, you got a lot more room inside to work with

I personally find the HAFs really unattractive. But I'm not everyone else. Zalman/Lian Li/Antec/Silverstone is more up my street.

I don't like plain looking cases - I like stuff that pulls your attention, even if it is "ugly" to some, it makes it's point.

lian li and corsair are too expensive, the HAF's are pretty cheap

so far it's a tossup between the HAF's, the antec 1200 and the cosmos

i luuurrrrrrrrrvvvv the coolermaster sniper. Are there any mods or references to silent fans? it doesnt make a lot of noise though but im thinking that sound dampening cloth would cut out the noise of my gfx card and cpu cooler. any ideas?

that corsair 600t is obviously a rip off of the sniper though.... but like what they did with that storm guard under the psu, something the sniper don't have. innovative. im impressed

OMG okay i looked at that video of the 600T, if i didn't have the sniper, then this would definitely be the case for me.

Just note that from the pics I have seen the 600T does not have a side fan to add some extra fresh air in for the graphics cards. Though you could probably just add in a fan at the bottom in front of the PSU to do this as well.

i noticed, what i love about the sniper is that you can add a 120mm fan at the bottom of the case to blow fresh air directly into your graphics card, and it has a storm guard mesh to block most of the dust, its a pity and i think its rather extremely stupid to not have a strong enough mesh below the PSU.

I was talking about the stock Antec 1200, looks like you put some other fans in with speed control by the sounds of it. Thats a whole lot extra to pay when you get stock cases that already have fan controllers built in with decent airflow.

@Archer... all the stock fans have speed control in the antec 1200, the fans i replaced them with don't have, i'm running them from a controller though.

HAF 932 or Antec 1200

oh and get something armored
my chenbro fell 4m and got dented:whistle:
the case is trashed tho not a single bit of hardware damage :p

Cosmos S is the best case I have seen, ever.
