Azzaro Wild Mint is nice.. i had a small sample size, but personally not that high on mint fragrances. I enjoy chocolate, coffee, Vetiver, Neroli type scents. The Azzaro is cheap, if you decide to maybe buy off fragrance X

Once you pay shipping and duties it's not cheap ordering anything from FragranceX , it's only worth doing if it's something that's not available in SA.

Not really.. ive looked at the following, incl discount code and i can get about 4 really good well hyped cheapies for R1200 incl taxes.

Perry Ellis 360 red ..
Nikos Sculpture
Boucheron Jaipur
Cuba Wild

All 4 of those under R1000, say around R900 off fragrance X. Locally you looking at close to R2000, so definately still some sort of saving.

Im still trying to figure out what the taxes actually come to on fragrances, but somebody mentioned around 47%.

I tried ordering Perry Ellis 360 Red from Loot. Was R650 for 100ml. Waited 2 months and it had not shipped the US yet so i cancelled the order.

Yeh, Perry Ellis Red was R290 with FX. Find that you could get 4 to 5 nice cheapies for around R1k, so about R1400 for 4 or 5 good ones incl taxes is not bad.
 
I used a sample of Lacoste L12.12 Blanv after my shower this evening. I was underwhelmed when I tested in the shop. I'm enjoying it this evening. Think I will pick up a bottle when I see it on sale somewhere. It's cheap enough.

The duties are non neg and don't forget the 10% Added Value Tax they add before the 45% duties and then add vat on the whole amount.... then let me know what the end price is....

I get R1650 if the FragranceX price for all of them are R900. And how much is shipping?

You have to be careful ordering from Rioperfumes (they also trade under Simplysublime), I ordered Amen and Kryptomint "unboxed", the Amen has some rotten smelling notes in it, so I checked the batch code and the bottle is almost 6yrs old

The Kryptomint seems to smell ok but "unboxed" it turns out is actually code for "tester". A tester bottle is not great because if I decide to sell it on it won't be as easy to sell as a normal bottle.

I've had an issue with them before with selling really old fragrances, they did a refund the last time but it's waste of time and now I've been burnt twice I probably won't order from them again.
