Let's talk Gatsbys

Well guys, i'm off to sit at the beach and try a Calamari Gatsby, will post a pic and short review when I come back :D

hmmmm a Gatsby by any other name is NOT a Gatsby ... so no Ak's or unknown dude specials etc.
there are rules ppl!!! follow them or the Gatsby fairy will burn yooooooo1!!! ;)

that said there are allot of places in ct that can boast a good Gatsby by far one of my regular Gatsby runs
are to Mariams on the Foreshore, like Leimie said they are pretty good but things change and as GD was once
the king of the Gatsby they no longer are or the farm stall etc but let us know of any other gr8 finds!!!

Re: Let's talk Gatsby's

No love for the West Side? :(

Especially need it today because my SU is in hospital.

yeah and ak47s

If the above is referring to the one you buy at Akhalwaya's then that is not a gatsby, that is made on a thin roll. Gatsby is made on the fatter, broader ones. When a full house gatsby is rolled up it looks like you are carrying a a new born baby. :D

Farmstall, Aneesa's and Golden Dish FTW

Cosy Corner is opposite Aneesas in Wynberg. The chargrilled Steak gatsby is goooood but paying more than R100 for a gatsby is just wrong

When eating at Mariams you can taste the All Gold tomato sauce and not the cheap diluted crap that the other take aways give you.

New to this gatsby thing but intrigued, they sounds similar to the chip rolls you get at Wrapitup?

thanks

haha it is expensive ...

thats the issue with mariams ...if you want to take a fancy girl on a date and she wants a gatsby you go there
