The Level-7 tech tonight assisted with configuring my router after I changed ISP providers. Biggest mistake! My internet now is half the speed, on a uncapped and unshaped account, and my laptop appears hacked now too! When I tried to review the changed the level-7 techn did to my router, to my surprise I saw a onscreen message someone at a MAC address already have access to my router! I don't even have a MAC PC!
Can anyone confirm if Level-7 are legit or maybe fraudsters

I have in the mean time switched off my router in the event I just became a sucker being conned!

Oh look it's Friday.
Btw this person probably installed porn on your PC do a search for cookies and delete the folder as system32 if you can find it delete that as well

he must be trolling

but juuust in case hes not. It seems like he didn't sign out of the modem management page and most modems only allow a single admin logon. So the modem was essentially telling you his client was still logged in(didn't time out yet) from the said MAC address

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address

rebooting your router should clear that error right up ;)

about the rest of your concerns, i cant really help you.
