So I have ordered this device. I want to be able to back up all my stuff. I am using G cloud but is there any android app I can use when I collect my new deice in 10 days?

Google backs up everything from contacts to apps for you. When you log into your new device it will automatically restore your apps, contacts and saved games.

For all physical files, just save them to your PC and copy them across to your new device.

I think LG has a seemless option when you first run your new phone to import your data from your current device to your new device.

There is titanium backup, but it's designed for advanced and root users.

For SMS backup, search "SMS backup" in the play store. Unfortunately I'm on my mobile, so can't give you links...

Google backups contacts ya, but not apps, least of all thier data. It stores a record of your installed apps and will begin redownloading them when you setup the new device.

The only real way to restore a phone is titanium, the LG device sync / migrate only migrates your Google account, basically you don't need to type in your Google password is all, rest is still up to you.

Saved games will only be restored for games that actually backup save data to Google, anything with local saves will also be lost, unless your backing up apps and data with titanium.

You know how much storage, bandwidth would be consumed if Google actually backed up data too, let alone al the privacy nuts going ballistic, its neither viable or feasible, heck, som apps use hundreds of megs of data on a device.

Thanks all. For those of you who have this device what do you think of it?

Excellent. 2-3 days battery life (I am often in no signal areas which drains the battery), bright screen (would be really nice if I could darken it a little bit more during the night) and the camera is quite good for a mid-range phone.

Used it for two days and got rid of it unfortunately...

Camera is great
The phone lags
Missing auto brightness

The lag wasn't so bad but the deal killer for me was the lack of a light sensor and that's what caused me to return it...

Okay so mixed feelings. So we will see how my one goes. I could have got it today but its under my moms name as I cant get contracts and she is in Spain. I have to wait till Next week

It's really not a bad phone... I just replaced mine with a Galaxy A3 and it's definitely the better phone. By a long shot.

Aaaah cool. Thanks. I am collecting mine a week tomorrow and I am seriously looking forward to it. I was going to get the A5 but the one guy quoted me the completely wrong price. He has since left the shop, thank goodness but I am super excited :D

Anyone having issues with their Beats. I have tried V10A, B, C and now 20A. Have random reboots, no service and battery drops % by like 30% on a reboot and the reboot again it is back up to the correct amount. Had the phone since Jan. Sent to MTN repair centre in JHB and all they did was reflash it to V10A firmware.

Nope, mine is still working perfectly. I am still on Kitkat though, not updating yet.

Seems like battery isn't synced properly or battery has problems.
Random reboot and no service could be hardware problem. A lot of phones that has been dropped one too many times start rebooting after they get old.
Also I found KitKat (10A) to be smoother, faster and less buggy than lolipop.

LG have had battery swelling issues with a few of their phones. This same thing happened to my Nexus 4. The battery was basically dying and swelling and needed to be replaced

I accidentally ordered a Nillkin LG G3 Beat case for my LG G3, and of course it does not fit.

Free to anyone who wants it.
