Don't be so quick to judge about 'fakeness'. The G3 sports a 'fake' brushed aluminium body, made entirely of... plastic.
Seems a number of manufacturers are holding off when it comes to the body material, so we get all the good specs but they come in some form of plastic
Certainly the sexy stitching. Also the S Pen is extremely useful for jotting notes, altering screenshots with mark ups and the extra few mah in the battery help too
Also two free changes of a cracked screen/water damage.
Ninja edit : Also, considering how long I've had my Note, it seems like it was even better than I thought when buying it as it easily keeps up with flagship specs coming out today. Even at 1080 the screen is still stunning.

I'm disappointed in the G3. Not crazy about the metal textured plastic, the increase in physical dimensions was stupid as the G2 is the perfect size, the specs are hardly any better than the G2's, the phone is relatively thick, the double-tap feature is still unresponsive and there's no IP certification. You suck LG.

Sounds like a pretty superficial list of complaints: It's not pretty enough! It's 8mm longer and the same thickness (how horrible!), I wanted even better specs without making the device bigger in any way! 1GB of extra RAM isn't a big enough upgrade! A much faster CPU isn't a big enough upgrade! A massive increase in screen resolution isn't good enough!
