There tends to be a correlation between age of the account and number of posts, simply because accounts that are still active after many years tend to be posters who're the most die-hard members of the community. Generally it's a bit easier for people to look and say 'Aah, the winners tend to have a high number of posts', rather than 'Ooooh, the winners all joined pre-2008' (not much context there).

My 'theory' - not that we're going down this road again - is just that rpm is rigging the system with rules that he's not disclosing 100%, and judging by the winners of the majority (note: not ALL) competitions, at least one of the rules factors in something related to poster activity (either age of the account or number of posts - quite possibly a combination of both to disqualify clone accounts).

I see Sinbad, biometrics and OMB are warming their engines, so stand down. You guys are happy with the current system, and why not? You all have north of 30 000 posts, and have either won previously or are very likely to still win. Keep on criticising other people for pointing out the system's bias, while not tackling your own.
