LG G4

I'm getting this MM update request every day now, but am still not sure if I want to update after reading about some guys with power problems - any way to stop the phone asking me to update?

I may be wrong but it looks like the guys who have problems either had problems before or they flashed the unofficial release and then got the problems.

I really can't complain about my phone. Didn't have any problems before MM, and definitely don't have any now. My phone actually performs even better since the update.

thanks Gamer and Piesang!
Maybe I should just update and get it over and done with....

When the unofficial version was release and everyone around me flashed it was difficult to hold out. I know how you feel now. I'm glad I waited.
So you're suggesting that a full wipe and phone refurbish has no effect, that there's some sort of memory left over of other versions that have been installed and remain to cause hassles with future versions?

I had an issue with my phone yesterday. Charged it when I woke up, to 100%. It was on 20% after a few hours. Charged it to full again at about 4. Last night by my phone was on 15% after very little usage. Updated my phone last night. Took my phone off charge at about 3 this morning. My phone still has 35% left after no charging all day and actually using my phone today. So the update did the opposite for my battery :D

According to the internet, a full wipe means deleting all files of a previous ROM. So technically it shouldn't be the case, but I think so yes.

So last night on the way to bed I noticed a weird thing. My screen is split down the middle. Typing vertically my keyboard is cut in half and the left side vibrates. Flip to vertical and the same side vibrates. I think i have a hardware fault

Sounds like it...

I was the first to flash the OFFICIAL version... yes OFFICIAL... it was just official in another country :p

And I never had any issues with battery... still don't... and I'm on the d-version OFFICIAL (from another country :p) version now

I'm on XDA 20E after XDA 10C Rooted. Never had any issues. Battery's been good.

Disable software update checks, go to about phone page.

mine just gives me these options?

Mine are all unticked and I haven't got anything bugging me for the update. From past experience if you only untick them after the update notice has been received or if you manually check then then it carries on bugging you to update. Have you tried restarting after unticking those boxes?

yes, I restart my phone every morning - weird! but I suspect I'll be upgrading soon enough in any case - my biggest concerns were the battery issue and whether MyPhoneExplorer works with MM and it does :)

My sister updated hers to Marshmallow and the Play Store became unable to load so I'm going to have to try and figure out how to fix that this weekend.
