Got my G4 back. Serial number 610. I somehow hoped that a mainboard replacement would mean that my memory would still be intact with all my apps, numbers and *cough* downloaded mp3s and movies. But alas. Its all blank. :/

Just got mine back too. How do I check the serial number?

That's what I did (well, first was a S7 flat, then moved to an Edge), you'll never look back. I get to the end of each night with 50% battery left.

Boy this phone's value dropped. Ordered mine from Takealot for R7500 in February. Now you see them everywhere second hand for less than R3000 or sometimes even R2000.

Wish Takealot refunded me instead of repairing it. Used an iPhone 5 as a temp phone i(it's 4 years old and still getting updates from Apple) and I realised how much I love phones that work and have a decent battery life.

The battery really is a big drawback, I'm seriously thinking of getting a 2hnd Note 4 rather than this, that gloriously massive Note screen,

Early next year I will hand this over to the wife. Sell her M4 Aqua for some capital and buy a Xiaomi Note 4. The phone is still good for me. Battery Life on standby is decent but LG are a rubbish company when it comes to updates and bootloader unlocking.

The relatively ancient note 4 is already on 6.01 official rom, G4 still on 6

I really don't understand their logic. The G4 is still beast on paper. The XDA devs could've pushed the hardware to the max, yet they refuse to unlock it. Retarded.

I'm actually quite happy with my G4 now, after bootloop repair
Battery lasts at least 50% longer and phone no longer over heats when used continuously

Agreed. Got mine back and still haven't turned it on again. I enjoy the 4 year old iPhone 5 too much.

Got mine back and I'm happy. Phone is very fast and responsive. Not sure if its because of a fresh install, or whether Marshmallow is smoother than Lollipop. Battery not bad either. Easily lasts a day. Not sure why so many of you are complaining....

I'm using mine as a IP Camera (nanny cam), so I don't know really if the performance, battery life, etc... is better or not.

My brother is nodding. He received his LG G4 back after bootlooping. Smartlab changed the main board and the camera. Now it easily lasts a day.
