This is one of them. There is another site whereby you insert your IMEI number and they give you the latest version for your specific model. When I find it again, will post it here.

o wait, it's on that site, one of the top menu options.

Seems OTA updates are not working according to users on XDA. Most of them got the update using the LG Bridge.

I'm looking at the deals now. I'm all for any of the deals under R600. Thing is. There is no way I'll ever use cell c again and I don't want 100-200min talk time and messages. I just want data mainly.

any recommendations?

Edit: I don't have wifi at home so can the updates be turned off like Samsung as well?

Yes, you can turn off auto updates.

Anybody find out what the contract price is on Telkom Smartplan 100 yet?

Their website is pretty useless. Still has June's brochure.

The updates are play store related, not handset related. ;)

Well, I was just looking through the new Vodacom brochure and it seems like a pretty sweet deal ... like R469 and you get over R2000 worth of 'free' kit (including a battery charging kit and two covers). You only get 200MB data standard on that package, and their 'promo' is an extra 800MB every month for R99 (which would still be under your R600 ceiling).

Also waiting to see... I am guessing it would be around R450 on the Smartplan 100

I got it on the MTN mychoice 100 for R449 pm. Includes 100 minutes, 200 sms & 300mb data.

Added 1gb data from Afrihost for R58 pm, so total cost pm of R507.
