LG G4

The main thing that would slow a phone down would be the number of apps or widgets that do background reporting. Things like energy in games, or social widgets or weather apps etc, you know the stuff that sits in RAM and that you actually want there. And 3GB of ram and a quad processor means there's plenty of resources for such things.

Which otg stick model was mentioned above, that's apparently so small it can be left in the phone? I think the brand was strontium?

Just popped in to mention that the double tap to unlock on my G4 seems to work much better than on the Z3.

It's actually usable and useful.

And if you have a 3rd party app for home screen?

I use Nova in conjunction with Screen Off and to lock you can double tap the top most bar on what ever screen.

Still trying to see battary patterns as a result of this.

I use Aviate Launcher if that's what you're asking.

Works beautifully.

As for battery life, I'm not sure how it would affect it by switching it off.

I have no complaints (I'm the one with the Z3, it's my sister that has the G4) so I don't know what you're talking about.
Although the tempered glass protector has forced me to tap slightly harder to activate it than before.

Yeah. no issues.

On screen notifications work properly as well when I double tap, but don't swipe to unlock completely.

Hang on. Aviate is your launcher, not your lockscreen. Or does it have a lockscreen function that replaces your standard lockscreen?
