LG Nexus 5X

Day 2 of life with the 5x.
Finally managed to upgrade from my Nexus 5 to the 5x.
First off, it is just bigger... LOL!!

Anyway, don't think I will be doing much work today, time to play.
 
Just received my 7.1.1 update. 647.1mb big. Hopefully this will fix my shocking battery life.

Thought it was just me... Lately battery life is appalling. Though it may or may not be my usage patterns and Pokémon Go...
Although I'm on beta and I believe already om 7.1.1 for a while now, and it's not much different to the previous versions...
 
I'm happy to say that my battery issue has been fixed with this update. No idea what it did. Android OS and Android System went from 20% to 4% each now. 2 day battery life again.
 
Anyone had bootlooping issues yet? Seems to be quite a big deal on reddit. I bought my Nexus 5x as a refurb from Orange with no warranty, so I'm a bit worried. They said they will not fix the issue at all if it happens.
 
No not so far. Are you having this issue with the update?
 
I'm about to remove myself from the beta program, and root.
Just waiting to get home to use wi-fi- funny enough the non-beta system update that is waiting is 7.0, not 7.1 or 7.1.1 - I'm guessing after reversion the [public] updates will be pushed again. Will wait for those before root.
 
Removed from beta, reverted to Android 6.0, updated to 7.1.1 and rooted... Only to find that Xposed doesn't yet work on 7.1.1... :(
That's like, 95% of why I rooted...

Guess I'll go back to stock for now, or something.

I'm back to stock and back on beta, running 7.1.2
I couldn't tell you what's new/different if I'm honest (also haven't bothered to check for a change log)
No issues my side
 
Anyone still using a Nexus 5x? :) This widespread bootloop issue is disappointing :(
 
What bootloop issue?
Mine 5X still going strong, it will have to... I don't have R12k to R15k for a new phone and I don't want a contract (not that we can get anything I like on contract here...)
 
Haven't come across the bootloop issue. Had the phone from about July last year.
 
I haven't updated to 7.1.2. I don't have the bootloop issue.
 
think its time for me to retire this phone, screen cracked a week ago, still havent found an easy way to replace it :(
