Just hope you don't get one with the same problem as mine. Every now and then you get "sd card removed" and random reboots. Searched the net apparently a few of them with the problem, sounds like "firmware" issue.

I was also having the same problem, a few times a day. I tried hard-resets and formatting the memory card but nothing worked. I then changed the memory card as I needed a 8gb anyway, and for about a month now, I haven't experienced that even once. I put my P500's memory card into my digital camera, and guess what, the camera switches off sometimes when I take a pice (LOL). So, I guess in my case it was just a faulty memory card.

Try replacing the memory card and see what happens.

A lot of times the contacts on the new memory cards just need some rubbing... worked for me before...
