Hi Guys

this happened to the GF of one of my colleagues, I am not entirely sure on all the details but essentially they were stopped, and for some or other reason the traffic removed their license disc, they got a letter saying at no expense they can retrieve the disc if they "fix" whatever caused the official to remove the disc in the first place.

Now they find out they have to pay again for a disc.

Does this make sense / is this a thing they can do?

Western Cape, specifically Boland / Peninsula area.

You need the name of the officer who removed the disc, and the receipt or ticket

What was the reason given to do this?

A friend had a similar incident, near Paarl. While the officer was trying to get the disc out, he took a photo of the guy's name badge. This caused the officer to stop what he was doing and tell him to move along
