Assists in the finer details of utilising & sharpening the tools, knowledge and skills which will better your position in life regarding personal finance, career, business and life in general.

Have any of you made use of this avenue or have experience in this sort of professional help?

In my Opinion its worth it to have a life coach they don't teach you anything you don't know they just teach you how to approach life differently and out of a different perspective.

I work with two life coaches and its fun and difficult at the same time :P

So in your opinion would you say it's money and time well spent? Have you seen any improvements yet? If I may ask, are you also seeing them with regards to an own business?

It is what you make of it. Its kinda like going to a shrink - if you don't let the person in & are willing to be a bit vulnerable then its not going to help.

I've been assigned coaches - not sure whether I would pay for one myself since they tend to cost a fortune...well the good ones anyway.

I've heard this as well.

Penn and Teller have a fantastic insight into life coaches. Well worth the watch if you're even slightly inclined to not wasting money...

Yeah, and everyone needs a unicorn, and don't forget to watch out for trolls under bridges.

Seriously you have to be an idiot to need a 'life coach'. Made up rubbish jobs! Makes me sick!

Definitely without a doubt, i can actually set goals now and really get to my goals at the set times.

I am also much more "stable" and able to handle situations much better, whereas before i used to lose it just for the slightest irritation.

Hmmm, this may be one of the best ideas, ever! :erm:

I think, I should open a Sangoma and life coach business... I'm sure there are plenty of customers around.:p

Agree with vampire.the same applies to dieticians and personal trainers.they're for people too lazy to do research on how sort their own schit out.

Errr. Sometimes in life, people have problems, and they need advice on how to get through it. I'm not the kind of person who would hire a life coach (I prefer to find my own answers), but at the same time I'm a big fan of self help material and successful people who are essentially life coaches. I've read books, watched a ton of stuff on youtube, and watched DVDs that have helped me out. I take in the information, decide what works and what doesn't work for me, and try to apply it.

I like to think of life coaches more like sports coaches. They've made a success of themselves doing XYZ, and now they are trying to help others achieve that same success.

Too bad 'doing XYZ' often translates to 'fleecing the gullible'...

It's like using game guides. I'd rather figure life out for myself.

No need to reinvent the wheel?

Personal development websites and books are free to be found on the net, I think people who are lonely, that needs some one "supporting" them, to tell them "you can do it!"

Successful, really? The only reason someone would go into a job like this is because (a) They don't know how to do any other job reasonably, (b) They were in sales but couldn't find enough people to coldcall, (c) They found said 'success' in recruiting idiots to pay them to give them the equivalent of the 'life skills'/'life orientation' class we all found completely useless in high school.

The only thing these people are doing besides robbing morons of money with little in return is ruining natural selection for the rest of us.
