My new 24V system is working like a charm by the way, loving how Luxpower does its thing, dodgy weather these days but the battery is always full before 1pm.

No, this install is for my home in the sticks, Eskom is refusing to replace the transformer so it's a literally off grid system, it's connected to 3x 460W panels.

I have already shipped my balcony solar to assist, which didn't make any difference as I said due to the fridge, hence the need to change to the 24V system.

Definitely, a backup to a backup, especially since the first backup is now the main source without Eskom.

Haven't checked it recently. I have been hitting 100% quite a lot so hopefully its better top balanced now but I will have to check it again.

Only if you listen to your installer. The only issue is the diy kits not being ul listed so can’t insure them in USA.

Was more a joke towards installers in South Africa that will not even mix 5kw deye with a 15kw

Family member with 5x5kw deye and wanted to add 15kw due to space. Installer did not want to do it..

So he told him just to disconnect the 5 kw batteries he will sell them and replace them when he has more money. As soon as they left he just reconnect them.

But I do agree please add a fuse per battery and not just one fuse per busbar to inverter.
