So I had heard about light novels for a while but never tried any. For those who don't know, light novels are a medium of Japanese writing which are often the basis for manga or anime.

Last year I got a bit annoyed because one of the shows I was enjoying was over, so I did the normal and moved on to the Manga which "normally" goes beyond the anime even if there is a light novel source which is obviously the master. However that show peculiarly , the manga was actually the slowest of them all with the anime being ahead and obviously the light novel the latest. So I managed to find some of the LN's and am now quite hooked on the medium.
Personally I'm a prolific reader and large novels/omnibuses are not a issue ( mainly a Sci-Fi/fantasy junkie: WOT , Expanse, Asimov, Gemmel etc. etc. etc. ) but this format is great for a quick read. Sure I can devour the avg novel depending on the time but the LN's are even quicker and more "bite sized" so easy to finish one or two between work and life. I'm quite impressed by the quality of the works even though from what I've read of the medium its a proper paper mill churner and hectic on the authors. Heck one one of the fanfics I read inline with the original light novel was as good.
So anybody?
My current progress is:
Overlord 1-16,
Saga of Tanya the Evil 1-12
