Hi. I'm running Win10 Pro 2004, and would like to try Linux as I have heard so much about it.
I'm just a bit worried that Linux may clash with Windows.
Is there a link or thread showing how to install linux and use it without changing my settings?
Thank you

One of the easiest ways to try out Linux would be to install it to a USB drive and boot off of that, it would have 0 effect on your current setup that way.

For this old fart, please supply me with more details Basically, how to do this

Ubuntu is OK for beginners, though Mint might be better. In either case, Ubuntu has a handy guide to creating a bootable USB here:

I.M.O. linux is best appreciated if approached from either a hobbyist or otherwise a professional angle rather than an end-user angle. If not that curious how things fit together and how things work you may be disappointed.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have a look see. As mentioned, won't harm my existing set up

Just install the windows subsystem for linux on your windows 10 install.
Its not a full blown dist but you can get a feel for things without even needing to leave windows.

Download Linux Mint iso
Download etcher
Flash the iso to a 8/16gb usb stick with etcher
Boot your pc from usb..or hdd then just change harddrive order for the usb stick
Test/Use linux live straight from usb without installing anything

Or download virtualbox and run the iso in a virtual machine inside windows

None of the 2 options will harm your setup. Oh, and ignore etienne's post..he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Enjoy linux, these days its a safe, stable, full featured desktop experience.

Highly recommend Virtualbox and playing with a Linux Virtual Machine. Can take it at your own pace.

Would also recommend looking a YouTube videos on the topics for users wanting to try linux for the first time.

And where do I find a Linux distro. I told yall I was an old fart!
