So my dad and this woman moved in together in a new house and I was dragged along.

We've got a neotel prime connection with the phone which my dad and me had back at our old place. Still works fine here.

The woman has a Telkom phone which she brought over to this side, they re-activated her phone line under the same Go Broadband or some sort of Telkom ADSL option.

The ADSL line is not yet activated and is said to be activated in 3 days. Tomorrow will be that day. If I'm not mistaken there was a way to do this. Correct me if I'm wrong but I imagine I saw it somewhere a year or so back on Telkom's website.

Thanks in advance.

I think you mean http://www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl ?

Yeah thanks, that looks like it. Now I've been told she does not have an order number and possibly because it's not a new line. Still under the old contract.

Well, if she ordered DSL, she would've been given an order number, which is what you use to activate your line. Unless she opted to have a tech come over and set up her router and all that for her?

If she needs the order number, should be as simple as calling in and asking if they could tell you what it is. I'm not sure who you'd have to call though, possibly 10215 or 0800 375 375.

Anyway, as long as she has a router you should be able to use:
Username: guest@telkomadsl
Password: guest
On connection settings of the router to access www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl and see if it's working. If it is, then you just need to do the self-install with the order number and then you're free to change the connection settings to the login details of the ISP of your choice.
