I recently got a ZyXEL SBG3300-N VDSL/Fibre router and are on a 20Mbps VDSL line.
On the router WebUI it shows that my down link is syncing at 20.5Mbps:
ADSL Training Status: Showtime
Mode: ADSL2+ Annex A
Traffic Type: ATM Mode
Link Uptime: 0 day: 2 hours: 15 minutes
============================================================================
ADSL Port Details Upstream Downstream
Line Rate: 1.026 Mbps 20.526 Mbps
Actual Net Data Rate: 1.015 Mbps 20.476 Mbps
Trellis Coding: ON ON
SNR Margin: 7.9 dB 6.7 dB
Actual Delay: 8 ms 8 ms
Transmit Power: 12.0 dBm 18.6 dBm
Receive Power: 4.7 dBm 4.7 dBm
Actual INP: 3.0 symbols 2.0 symbols
Total Attenuation: 7.2 dB 12.0 dB
Attainable Net Data Rate: 1.183 Mbps 24.584 Mbps
============================================================================
My WAN Status however shows that I am connected to ADSL (ADSL2+) and not VDSL.
Telkom has also confirmed that my port is on VDSL on their side.
Is there perhaps a setting I have to change on my router to connect to VDSL? Under Broadband Setting, I have a interface for both ADSL and VDSL (which was set up as a default) and both have the "active" box ticked if you go Modify. However, it seems to rather choose the ADSL then the VDSL.
I ran a speed test and got a download speed of 17.4Mbps.
