That's actually incorrect. Linux is the kernel, the proper name for the operating system is GNU/Linux.

Actually there's nothing wrong with just saying "Linux 4.2" released.. As Linux is just the name of the kernel there's no need to say "Linux kernel"..

For servers, yes...maybe
For desktops running for example ERP software....to make it easy for clerks(not everybody has proper IT knowledge).....you need Windows.
