Grabit & altbinz run well in wine. I've never found a decent nzb client for Linux. Pan is ok, but outdated compared to what's available for windows.
And what is required for a decent NZB client?
Some more to try out:
kwooty for KDE
sabnzbd
But all said and done there is nothing as powerful as hellanzb.

Been using sabnzbd on OSX for a long time.
Works rather well.
thanks all. Eventually opted for sabnzbd and it worked fine. only problem is that I could not find a par2 program for mandriva that would work. checked out the sabnzbd page par2 links as well - will try again tonight. they cover other linux distros not mandriva - question is which OS is mandriva closest to if i had to choose a par2 prog?
I would like to try out hellanzb as well - but cannot find a working link. anyone care to post one?
Thanks

My vote is for SABNZBD, I have been using it on both Windows & Ubuntu now for 2 years.
The latest version has almost all of the features I can think of. And set it to monitor an RSS feed and you are sorted. It will only download the required number of parity files incase the download is damaged.
I give it 4 1/2 stars![]()
break the shackles. the native apps work perfectly.
to be honest when i use grabit under wine, it feels like I am cheating a bit.
I installed linux to get away from windows and to experience a new look/feel of a system.
