There are some interesting results, such as Slackware taking the top spot for desktop distributions, and KDE as the top desktop environment.

With under a thousand votes per category? Hardly noteworthy I would say?

I rarely visit Linuxquestions, when all the different distros did no have a forum or wiki in the early 2000's they had a role to play, but they have been waning into obscurity pretty fast since then.

I'm not bashing the site, it is just that they have become irrelevant except maybe for a minor distro discussion board (one that does not have it's own forum).

Sorry to admit that I didn't vote because I don't visit Linuxquestions as often as I used to in years past and thus missed the poll

I suspect that a lot of Linux aficionados these days tend to focus their attention on the forums of the distros they use hence the rather peculiar results.
