Howsit guys,

maybe there are some experts here... but could someone advise me on whether it would be suitable or not to put a bottle of Injector Cleaner for like the next 2 months every time i top up my tank?

Liqui Moly is a fantastic product but i just need some expert advice on whether it would be suitable or not to put a bottle to ensure good fuel consumption.
 
I do it every 5000km, for the last few months :)

I believe in this, so far no problems at all.
Goldwagen sells injector cleaner and the full engine cleaner, not sure what difference is.

The full engine cleaner cost R200 and injector cleaner cost R100.

I use the full engine cleaner last time, as the injector cleaner was sold out.
 
Engine cleaner is designed to dissolve carbon deposits and oil sludge, Usually after use you need to do an engine flush, Injector cleaner for the fuel lines and, ehrm injectors.
 
I have used it a few times. When I had the MINI still I used it and after the tank was empty I checked the oil and it went from a still light'ish colour to very dark. I have used it again in the Bolt a few 1000KMs before it was due for its first service. Will put it in again in the next few months.
 
thanks for the responses but lets say i put in another bottle within the next two weeks or so.... will there be any damage to the injectors?

You should see the price of new injectors.

Speaking in general, you should actually have your fuel tank flushed every now and again too. Wait till you see the ****e lurking down there. God forbid your fuel pump picks up some of that rubbish.

My Golf has an old mechanical injection system, I flush that system out once a year with injector cleaner. No one in SA can recalibrate K-Jetronic fuel systems.
