Liquid detergent

I bought the OMO liquid. It's okay except that my machine is a dumbass. 1 hour for a "quick wash"?! And then it started walking away during the spin cycle.
:D

Most washing machines have adjustable feet, they screw in and out. Try adjusting the height of one or two of you washer.
I also found that making it stand om little squares of carpet( cardboard if you are disparate) makes the walking less or stop completely. But start with adjusting the feet.

I have recently (still on first bottle) switched to the P&P "Green" brand of liquid detergent and softner. My clothes comes out just as clean as with OMO and the softner leaves behind a very subtle fresh and clean smell....not as overpowering as the Comfort softner.....and it bio degrades in 6 days max. The detergent is also a lot cheaper than Omo Liquid.

I use it on the Quick Wash @ 40 degrees for clotes = works out to about 30 minutes
Towels gets washed seperately also on the Quick Wash but @ 60 degrees = works out to about 50 minutes.

I use the liquid Skip detergent. I noticed that with the washing powder, it always used to leave like white powder residue on my black clothes. No matter how much I spin / rinse. The liquid works great and gets the job done :)

I find the liquid does not leave a white residue on my clothes like some powders did. So works for me.

Jip same here, and it makes your clothes smell nicer as well! It also depends on your machine you use..

Anyone also notice that the Skip liquid is much more expensive than Omo liquid, but they are made by the same company.. so in effect same product but with different covers?

Make sure you compared the same size bottles and that the one is not on promo. Omo Liquid (the bigger bottle) was on promo a few weeks ago @ PNP and waa about R50.00....the Skip remained @ about R70.00. Now the Omo is also back to R70.00 again.

I suspect that Abzo might not have removed the transit bolts. At the back of the machine, roughly arounr the perimeter of the drum, there are four transit bolts to keep the drum steady during transit. Remove these bolts for normal operation.

PS: Talking from experience here, having dealt with a runaway washing machine :o

Give the P&N Green range a try. I use their detergent and fabric softner and I really like it. it is about R50.00 for a litre so a lot cheaper than the Omo or Skip Liquid...and it works just as well. I also just use half a cup as we use a front loader.

It is actually made by a Canadian company and they seem reputable.

Have you found this to be better than powder? Hmmm? Have you? Hmmmm? Anyone? Hmmm?

The SO swears by this stuff. And the new comfort fabric softener, esp the gold bottle.

We have a cold water machine, and no blk gunk marks etc

Makes your clothes smell brilliant

I use the liquid one as well. My clothes smell all nice and feel good. I still don't get lucky, so all options are still on the table

Been using the OMO liquid since I started this thread. Happy with it. Makes the entire apartment smell good on laundry day.

I actually did, checked today at Pnp where I saw it and they corrected the prices.. the big bottle Omo liquid went actually for R52 while Skip was R71 or something, today there is R2 difference between the 2! Should have bought more..! :o

Well...was not actually a correction as it was a promo. I also bought a bottle @ R50.00 or so at that time because it was on promo. My housemate now uses that and I have switched over to the PNP "Green" detergent and fabric softener. She likes likes how the Omo + Comfort makes her clothes smell. For me it is a bit overwhelming. The PNP Green range detergent and softner have a more subtle yet very nice fresh smell that is not so overwhelming.

Maybe give it a go. Also a lot cheaper @ R50.00 for a 1 litre.

I was using the OMO but now tried the SKIP. I prefer the smell of the OMO. Going to try to get rid of this Skip on the 2nd hand detergent market. 750ML - 0.5 Cup, R40.
