List of congested exchanges?

Lol don't worry bout it. I'll try be patient, hopefully it's done before the 384 upgrades.

Mojo i found you LOL:D. eish bru sorry man looks like it is congestion:( all you can hope is that they upgrade you

Clearwater - people are connected from so far away too. They need new exchanges for both congestion and distance form the exchange.

Malboro exchange, my internet experience over the year has slowly declined to a now... 6-8 line drops a day.. SNR and attenuation levels that are shocking.. telkom says line is fine.. as they ran a new line..

Clearwater - people are connected from so far away too. They need new exchanges for both congestion and distance form the exchange.
Do you mean the Panorama (RPOA) exchange behind Clearwater Mall?

I'm closer to the la lucia exchange than the durban north one, so i guess i'm lucky to be on the durban north one.

+1 has been bad for a few months now.
10mb:o needed

it's terrible! Actually starting the XBL MW3 tournament tonight and if it's still congested I'm screwed :/

Is telkom even doing anything about our exchanges? They're seriously pathetic.

Could anyone give any information?
Here is an image showing the issue, my nextdoor neighbour's ping is the one on the left and mine on the right. We both are getting ping issues: http://www.imagehost.co.za/image-B8C6_5071D2B2.jpg

I assume I am on this exchange http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/WDBV10
or this one http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/WDBV19

Line stats:
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin 31.5 dB 15 dB
Line Attenuation 16.5 dB 23.5 dB
CRC Errors 0 0
Latency Fast Fast

Is anyone on the RONDEBOSCH (WRBS) exchange having issues? I have terrible dl speeds/pings at work and at home (both on the same exchange). This has been going on for several months and has happened numerous times over the last 2/3 years.

Slightly better now.

MickeyD do you know anything about the STELLENBOSCH (WSTB) Exchange? In the evenings there are also congestion problems.

According to broadbandstats I'm also on the WSTB exchange: http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/WSTB

I'm just experiencing high latencies during work hours (like now at 11:45).

Well my pings are still stuffed every night, and still have no idea if it's a congested exchange. Same results on afrihost and telkom. I just phoned telkom and asked him to check if my exchange is congested, he says straight away yes it is because of the upgrades and everybody using the internet at this time. So i ask, are you telling me everybody's exchange is congested and he says yes. I just gave up right there, idiot.

Is anyone on the RONDEBOSCH (WRBS) exchange having issues? I have terrible dl speeds/pings at work and at home (both on the same exchange). This has been going on for several months and has happened numerous times over the last 2/3 years.

I think so. Also in Rondebosch, and been having issues for the last few days. Local pings in the 150-190ms range, and DL speeds of 0.20mbit (2mbit line).

I find my news server always downloads at full speed, but browsing is erratic. Like today I did a number of speed tests, first few all 2.5mb, then suddenly they hit 3.5mb. I am on mweb uncapped 4mb.

This is ****ing ridiculous now, does anybody know wtf is wrong with the durban north exchange, i thought MSAN's would fix congestion not cause it. Can't believe we actually paying for this. It's been like this all day, and everyday during the week from 5pm - 11pm sometimes later. It's been bad for months but never this bad.

Please mickeyD if you have any info on what is going on i would appreciate it. I tried telkom but they are clueless and won't give an answer. Thanks
