Lithium Car Battery retailer SA ?

Also, with regards to the "regulator" that you'll be using. They grounded the Boeing 787 for a while due to problems with the battery systems, and I'm pretty sure their systems cost a bit more than what you're using and was also probably designed a tiny bit better. And they had problems, in a system designed for it. Let that sink in.

I think the OP should look into getting an AGM battery.

I think the OP should look into getting an AGM battery.
The OP should look into a couple of things to be honest, as a start why does his battery needs charging from external sources? Does he have the correct battery size for all his requirements?

I think the issue here is that OP has massive car sound on a stock size battery, resulting in him needing to charge the battery manually.
If it were me i'd get a proper battery and proper SMART battery charger, install some fused charging cables for easy access (something like THIS, but add a fuse).

Also get the alternator tested, voltage means nothing if its not putting out enough amps to charge the battery while driving.

I would tend towards the battery being undersized for his requirements yes...

But topping it up every 2 days is just idiotic and that caused the problem, not the fact that its lead acid.

Unless the OP is an imbecile and playing his huge car sound while the car is off, then his sound has nothing to do with his battery problems. In all likelihood he/she has some parasitic draining of the battery while the car is off.

Some car amps pull 100+ amps , most alternators only provide 100 amps .

But sound is played while the car is off and you are busy washing the car mos? The right battery should be able to cope with this for a reasonable period of time.

Why even run a deep charge battery for a car???

Deep cycle are designed to be charged up to a certain % and discharged only to a certain % and that as long as remain within these percentages, you don't 'use' a cycle and your battery lasts up to its lifetime, possibly beyond.

What you don't use deep cycle batteries for is stop/start charging which is very typical in a motor vehicle.

Lithium-Ion Batteries are also not necessarily your answer not just because they very much act like deep cycle batteries but because they are a very real fire hazard.
If they get to hot, they go into thermal overload, if you draw to much amperage and if you try and charge using to much amperage.
Cars are not exactly going to be a good thermally controlled environment and the biggest risk will be thermal runaway.

However, it seems that Super-Capacitors are a lot more suitable to the job as a replacement car battery. Millions of cycles, high amperage draw and charge and they're not susceptible to thermal anything.
However, if the car is going to stand for a while, you will need to keep it on some kind of trickle charge (if I understand correctly).

You will also need the correct circuitry connected to the Super-capacitor bank to charge it properly.

I'm sure with enough googling you can find a "how to"

Yeah... if he's doing stupid shyte like that, then no matter what battery tech he installs he will fsck it up...

At least with Lead Acid, its just a small acid spill... Lithium will result in no car after the fire.
Shees there's a lot of unintelligent replies on here, do you even know what i did ? Jump to stupid conclusions ?

Buddy, I used a specialized programmable charger that charges the battery to the correct voltage. The charger is Far and beyond the cr@p you buy at a normal automotive store, man you get some really stupid trigger happy people on here just trying to stoke a fire thinking they're the know it all warriors.

And no, if you know how to setup and charge a lithium battery there will be NO fire, read up i promise you thats true... shees...

At last a sensible reply, exactly, the correct circuitry is required, except if your battery has it built in already, some do some don't. if diy it will have to be built in.

do you even know what i did ?

Yeah. You charged a battery that didn't need charging outside of it's normal usage cycle and it outside of it's purpose built charging specifications and the battery farted at you and now it's a disaster.
Talk about unintelligent.
