Snowflakes will look for any excuse to blame their useless on. The current excuse is the old flag. Most of the moaners and "activists' were not even born yet. Just look around.

Actually not rare. Many people have a degree of colour blindness. Much is not total, but trather a case of discerning colours differently. You will probably fail the Ishihara tests. If it ever affects you in a job application etc - remember that term. Been there, dunnit. Nearly lost a bursary when I was young. Luckily I insisted I could see and differentiate colours. A few tests later all was sorted - I was not going to inadvertantly blow up the world by going into engineering

It's funny how people who never owned the flag, used the flag in public or made a living off the flag are so emotionally torn up about this.

Question for the PC woke: Are we going to ban the current flag as well, considering ti contains elements of the Zulu headdress and the Zulus were responsible for the biggest slaughter in known South African history (Mfecane). Or not because the Zulus are not a minority group - it's only an anti-white thing?

1. The flag must never be allowed to touch the ground or the floor.
2. Tables, podiums, railings or platforms should never be draped with the flag.
3. The flag should never be used as underclothes, bath mats or any derogatory application.
4. The flag should never be used for any commercial advertising in a manner that is disrespectful to the flag.
5. Use of the National flag in artefacts or manufactured products is subject to the sanction of the presidency and the Department of Trade and Industry.
6. The flag should always be hoisted at the start of the working day and lowered again before or at sunset.
7. The flag should be hoisted briskly and lowered ceremoniously.
8. The flag should never be used to start or finish any competition, race or similar event.

I am of the opinion that those liberties you believe is eroding is gone already. The constitution that was supposed to protect everybody's rights was interpreted like by the concourt as this: https://www.politicsweb.co.za/opinion/concourt-afrikaner-culture-belongs-in-the-dustbin-
So instead of most of us being allowed to be adults and do our best not to offend each other, we get a nanny state that tells us how to think and behave.

In the context of his post I made that point. I again reiterate that I am not for the flag being banned, I am just not deeply impacted by it

Not really, the religious dogma just gets replaced with atheist dogma of an inferior quality. We're a religious species, deal with it.
Cyril Ramaphosa and the story of the frogs in the water
In recently published memoirs, one of Cyril Ramaphosa's main opponents pays generous tribute to his character and negotiating skills during the talks leading up to the new South African constitution and the election in 1994.
Dr Mario Oriani-Ambrosini, who died in 2014, was a constitutional lawyer who became an MP. He was also a key adviser to Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi both during the negotiations and afterwards when the latter was minister of home affairs in the governments of national unity. His memoirs – the Prince and I: A South African Institutional Odyssey – are published this year by his estate.
According to the memoirs, Mr Ramaphosa, "stood head and shoulders above his colleagues" in the African National Congress (ANC) as well as above the National Party's negotiators. He was a "born leader" and a "straight shooter". Nor did he ever lie or "misrepresent anything".
What then are we to make of this paragraph in Dr Oriani-Ambrosini's intriguing memoirs?
"In his brutal honesty, Ramaphosa told me of the ANC's 25-year strategy to deal with the whites: it would be like boiling a frog alive, which is done by raising the temperature very slowly. Being cold-blooded, the frog does not notice the slow temperature increase, but if the temperature is raised suddenly, the frog will jump out of the water. He meant that the black majority would pass laws transferring wealth, land, and economic power from white to black slowly and incrementally, until the whites lost all they had gained in South Africa, but without taking too much from them at any given time to cause them to rebel or fight."

Not that doubt the ANC is up made up of scummy people, I just find it odd that it is the fist time we hear about it, is from a dead person? Is there a memo or another witness to this? hasn't afriforum asked Ramaphosa to address this?
It's a piece of cloth, it has no feelings.
