LMDE7 Remastering

Adopting LMDE7 private domain-wide, several non-tech users. We use Debian-based in any production environment. I want to set up a new LMDE7 install as a master distro with special apps such as backup tools, browser setups and tweaks, other specifics such as ricing, to create a new ISO from. I never used Penguin Eggs but Snapshot in MX Linux.

Does anyone here have experience of Penguin Eggs? Please share. If there is anything else that can be useful? Is Remastersys still being developed or maintained?
