Load-shedding break for the "long weekend"

Strangely, we haven't been load shed in some eThekwini regions for weeks now... The app says load shedding but nothing happens at that time.

Watch the news

We (Honeydew) were off for 8 hours from 03:45.

Then we tripped again around 14:40.

So, since midnight, I've had less than 6 hours of power....

Fark that, thats some bs right there. Tell ya what - go hook up a thick 100A cable to the streetlights and run it through to your home - the ANC did promise free electricity so it's not a crime.

The street lights are also off?

Loadshedding was suspended in all areas of Ethekwini, during the duration of the 'strike', due to the current outages that weren't being attended to and also to nullify the need to dispatch the limited personnel to attend to possible overload tripouts after loadshedding.

Jirre weet jy. Its getting old, really quickly. How is this area management so useless
Pretty much the case all over jhb, just have a look at the twitter feed for citypower.

It's a good day if you just have loadshedding, a moderate one if power comes back within 2 hours of loadshedding but most of the time you're lucky if you at least get some electricity in a 24 hour period.

I don't belive a word.. They switch off and on at will, probably having some political rallies this weekend so want to make prospective voters happy, so they leave it on for weekend. I'm not sure how they make money out of loadshedding, but I'm quite sure there would not be loadshedding unless they were screwing the system.. (motive is nearly always money)
